Saturday I’m taking a bunch of left turns.

Since its a 2-3 hr ride from home I was thinking of taking the family with me and getting a hotel. Do you guys know any good (and inexpensive) hotels, B&B or what ever to stay in for a night or two? Also what is close by there that would be good for two 3 y/o girls?

i’d like the hotel to be as close to Stafford Motor Speedway (in Stafford) just for ease of getting to and from that. Other activities for the kids would be best if around there but could be anywhere on the route back to south of Boston

Sadly I can’t be of any help. I only know if stuff further south in Fairfield county area. Can’t wait to hear about the drive though!

The Nathan Hale Inn on the campus of the University of Connecticut, which is only a couple exits further down on 84 from Stafford Springs might be available? Otherwise I can’t think of many hotel options in the northeast corner.

$209 / night which is a bit more than I was hoping for. It does seem like a sparsely developed area.

Between East Hartford/Manchester and the Mass Pike your options are very limited. There just isn’t a lot going up there that warrants hotels.

Yea we’re now thinking staying near the track Friday and then going somewhere better like the CT coast Saturday/Saturday night
